Shipping & Receiving Lead - Wayland Area

• →Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• →Lead and train a team of shipping and receiving associates.
• →Coordinate with production, sales, and logistics to meet shipping deadlines.
• →Maintain accurate inventory records and perform regular cycle counts.
• →Implement and enforce safety protocols and company policies within the department.
• →Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and proficiently.
• →Troubleshoot and resolve shipping and receiving discrepancies.

• 5+ years experience in shipping/receiving, with 2+ years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Proven ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, with valid certification.
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems and best practices (e.g., FIFO, LIFO).
• Demonstrated experience with ERP systems for shipping, receiving, and inventory transactions.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with a focus on team collaboration and safety.

• Experience with ERP systems beyond basic data entry (e.g., configuring workflows, report generation).
• Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification or demonstrated experience applying continuous improvement methodologies in a warehouse setting.
• Proficient in data analysis tools (e.g., advanced Excel, Power BI) for inventory optimization and performance tracking.
• Experience with vendor management and negotiation for shipping supplies or services.
