Staff Accountant - Byron Center Area

We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Byron Center that are seeking skilled Staff Accountants. • →Reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank statements and various balance sheet accounts.
• →Prepare and post journal entries for month-end close, accruals, and reclassifications.
• →Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• →Analyze manufacturing costs, variances, and inventory valuation.
• →Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
• →Support external audits by providing requested documentation and explanations.
• →Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems)
• Experience with inventory costing and analysis

• Experience with an ERP system like SAP or Oracle.
• Strong understanding of cost accounting principles.
• Familiarity with Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing concepts.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
