Weld Technician - Grand Rapids Area

• →Perform welding operations using various techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) on diverse materials.
• →Read and interpret blueprints, schews, and engineering specifications to determine welding requirements.
• →Inspect welded components for quality, defects, and adherence to established standards.
• →Operate and maintain welding equipment, ensuring proper functionality and safety.
• →Troubleshoot welding issues and implement corrective actions to optimize production.
• →Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve welding processes and product design.
• →Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to project specifications.

• 3+ years of experience in MIG, TIG, and Stick welding within a manufacturing environment.
• AWS Certified Welder (CW) certification or equivalent.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and welding symbols.
• Strong understanding of metallurgy, welding processes, and quality control procedures.
• Ability to perform basic fabrication tasks, including cutting, grinding, and fitting.
• Experience with various welding equipment, including automated and manual systems.

• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification
• Experience with robotic welding systems
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering blueprints and schematics
• Familiarity with non-destructive testing (NDT) methods like UT, RT, MT, PT
• Ability to perform basic welding machine maintenance and troubleshooting
