Welding Engineer - Battle Creek Area

• →Develop and qualify welding procedures (WPS/PQR) in accordance with industry codes and standards.
• →Provide technical expertise and support for welding-related issues in production.
• →Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for welding defects.
• →Evaluate and recommend new welding technologies, equipment, and consumables.
• →Conduct welder performance qualifications (WPQ) and training.
• →Collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to optimize weldment designs for manufacturability.

• Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in welding engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of various welding processes (e.g., GMAW, GTAW, SMAW, SAW) and their applications.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols.
• Experience with NDT methods and quality control procedures for welded components.

• AWS CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certification
• Experience with robotic welding systems and programming
• Familiarity with NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) methods and interpretation
• Project management experience in a manufacturing environment
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for design and analysis
