Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Deep expertise in hospital, ancillary, and professional reimbursement rate for single case agreements across all lines of business.
- →Foundational understanding of medical cost containment products including but not limited to reference-based pricing, out-of-network, and pharmacy benefits manager solutions.
- →Knowledge in medical billing including CPT and ICD 10 coding.
- →Deep contracting and negotiation skills, including but not limited to contract preparation and implementation, financial analysis, and rate proposal development.
- →Knowledge of provider groups in geographic areas as well as interrelationships across the competitive landscape.
- Strong networking ability and proficiency in establishing relationships and evaluating partnership opportunities.
- Ability to solve problems and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to adapt appropriately for different audiences.
- Passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences.
- Focused on thoughtfully supporting other team members and clients.
- Team-oriented mindset with a high level of motivation and drive.
- Maintain confidentiality of all sensitive information.
Requirements
~1 min read- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 2 years or more years’ experience negotiating single case agreement terms and rates either in value-based contracting or reference-based contracting with hospitals, provider groups, or ancillary medical providers (preferred).
- Experience developing and managing hospital or provider group relationships and instituting partnerships (preferred).
- Build and maintain strong provider relationships over the phone, delivering a high-quality experience grounded in trust, clear communication, and understanding—while remaining firm and direct when needed.
- Timely and accurate call and decision-making documentation and workflow adherence.
- Ability to professionally overcome provider resistance.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration.
- Sound judgment, composure and reliability under pressure.
- Ownership and follow-through on all assigned cases.
- Exercises initiative while staying aligned with management.
- Prolonged periods sitting or standing at a desk, working on a computer.
- Full-time, Monday through Friday, on-site in Amarillo, TX.
- Frequent balancing of urgent inquiries, calls, and detailed research.
- Highly collaborative environment with emphasis on communication, teamwork, and adaptability.
