At The Staff Pad, we’re proud to partner with a respected non-profit healthcare system in beautiful Helena, MT, to hire a caring and reliable Early Childhood Lead Teacher who is excited to create a positive, engaging, and safe learning environment for children ages 6 weeks – 24 months. What You'll Do Supervise infants (6 weeks–24 months) in a safe, healthy, and engaging environment Float between classrooms as needed to support center operations Plan and deliver developmentally appropriate activities and curriculum Foster learning through exploration, problem-solving, and social interaction Prepare classroom materials and assess individual and group developmental needs Guide infant behavior using positive, developmentally appropriate practices Support, mentor, and collaborate with Assistant Teachers and staff Monitor and report suspected child abuse Participate in required trainings, professional development, staff meetings & professional growth Share classroom cleaning and sanitizing responsibilities Maintain compliance with licensing, health, safety, nutrition, and quality standards What We Are Looking For Qualifications At least 18 years old Two years of experience in a licensed early childhood program Child Development Associate (CDA) or college degree preferred 32 hours of ECP training or Level 2 on the ECP Registry Knowledge of childhood growth and development Licenses & Certifications AHA Heartsaver CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification (within 30 days of hire) Montana Early Childhood Project Practitioner Registry (within 15 days of hire) Infant Safety Essentials (within 30 days of hire) and Health & Safety Professional Development (within 90 days of hire) Complete mandatory 16-hour annual training and maintain required St. Peter's Health and State Child Care Licensing immunizations Skills & Attributes Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Passion for working with young children with a calm, patient, and reassuring approach Sound judgment and critical thinking with a strong focus on child safety Ability to apply child development principles to individual infant needs Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills Strong collaboration and communication with staff, families, and community partners Ability to maintain a safe environment and respond effectively in classroom and outdoor settings What You Can Expect: Benefits: Competitive Compensation Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Long & Short-Term Disability Coverage, HSA& FSA Options Generous PTO, Vacation days, holidays & sick leave Tuition Assistance & Reimbursement 403(b) Retirement Plan with 3% employer match Cafeteria, Health Club Membership & Affordable Child Care Success Share Payout Compensation is reviewed annually to remain competitive with industry standards.
