MDS Coordinator

• →Coordinate and complete MDS assessments in accordance with state and federal regulations 
• →Ensure timely and accurate MDS submissions 
• →Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary teams on care planning 
• →Support Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement optimization 
• →Monitor documentation accuracy and compliance standards 
• →Participate in audits, surveys, and quality improvement initiatives 
• →Maintain current knowledge of CMS guidelines and reimbursement practices 
• →Assist with care plan development and resident assessment coordination 
• →Ensure accurate clinical documentation to support reimbursement and compliance objectives 
• →Communicate effectively with facility leadership and clinical staff regarding assessment updates and requirements 

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Previous MDS experience within skilled nursing or long-term care settings 
• Strong understanding of Medicare, Medicaid, CMS regulations, and reimbursement processes 
• Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills 
• Ability to multitask and manage deadlines effectively 
• Strong attention to detail and regulatory compliance standards 
• Ability to collaborate effectively within interdisciplinary healthcare teams 

Compensation
The published salary range is used as a guide to provide prospective candidates with a level of compensation that is competitive with today’s market. The salary range for this position is a good faith estimate that allows for flexibility to align with various levels of experience, education, and performance.
