Trackforce Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Revenue Accountant to own and elevate revenue accounting across the organization and its subsidiaries. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant revenue recognition under ASC 606 across multiple entities, while driving process and system improvements within NetSuite. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives under tight monthly close deadlines, brings creative and innovative thinking to complex revenue scenarios, and is comfortable leading projects autonomously and cross-functionally.
Review and interpret customer contracts across multiple entities to determine the proper revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606.
Own monthly revenue close activities for multiple entities/subsidiaries, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and account analysis within tight close turnaround times.
Support the design, implementation, and ongoing execution of internal controls related to revenue recognition.
Partner closely with the Deal Desk, Sales and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure proper accounting treatment throughout the deal review and contract process.
Prepare and review technical accounting memos supporting revenue recognition positions and other complex transactions.
Assist in preparing revenue-related disclosures for internal management reporting and external financial reporting.
Maintain and continuously update revenue recognition policies, procedures, and supporting documentation.
Lead and help develop revenue accounting processes and functionality within NetSuite, and support related system and process improvements, including ERP and CRM integrations.
Support statutory and consolidated audits across multiple entities, including preparing PBC (prepared-by-client) items and technical memo documentation for internal and external auditors.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation, bringing innovative, out-of-the-box thinking to revenue accounting challenges.
Lead projects and initiatives autonomously, with minimal day-to-day oversight, while keeping stakeholders informed of progress and risks.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
4+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience, including experience supporting multiple entities or subsidiaries, ideally in a SaaS environment.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly across global, cross-functional teams.
Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, particularly ASC 606 revenue recognition.
Hands-on experience with NetSuite preferred; comfortable working within and helping build out ERP revenue accounting functionality.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, complex formulas).
Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, with proven ability to partner effectively with Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, and AR teams.
A proactive, innovative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and solve complex or ambiguous revenue accounting issues.
Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight monthly close deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects independently and drive them to completion with minimal supervision.
CPA or active pursuit of CPA is a plus.
Revenue close is completed accurately and on time across all entities, month after month.
Revenue recognition policies, controls, and NetSuite processes are well-documented, scalable, and continuously improving.
Deal Desk, Sales, Legal, and AR teams view Accounting as a trusted, responsive partner in the deal review process.
Audit requests are handled proactively and efficiently, with clean, audit-ready documentation.
