Are you passionate about technology, cybersecurity, and protecting critical information systems? TRIAEM is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cybersecurity Intern interested in gaining hands-on experience in the cybersecurity field.

This internship offers an opportunity to develop technical skills, learn industry best practices, and work alongside experienced professionals supporting cybersecurity initiatives and technology-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

    Assist with cybersecurity monitoring, analysis, and reporting activities.

    Support the identification and documentation of potential security vulnerabilities and risks.

    Help maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and technical documentation.

    Participate in security assessments, research, and compliance-related activities.

  • →

    Assist with reviewing system logs, security alerts, and incident reports.

  • →

    Research emerging cybersecurity threats, technologies, and industry best practices.

    Collaborate with technical teams on cybersecurity projects and initiatives.

    Support general IT security and information assurance activities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

  • Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts, principles, and best practices.

  • Familiarity with computer systems, networks, and operating systems.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Willingness to learn new technologies and cybersecurity tools.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks such as NIST or general information security standards.

  • Basic understanding of network security, vulnerability management, and threat detection.

  • Exposure to Windows, Linux, or cloud computing environments.

  • Familiarity with cybersecurity tools, scripting languages, or security monitoring technologies.

  • Coursework, academic projects, certifications, or participation in cybersecurity-related activities.

  • Interest in supporting government, defense, or commercial cybersecurity initiatives.

  • Practical exposure to real-world cybersecurity activities.

  • Mentorship and guidance from experienced technology professionals.

  • Opportunities to strengthen technical, analytical, and professional skills.

  • Experience collaborating within a professional IT and cybersecurity environment.

  • Insight into cybersecurity career paths and the federal contracting industry.
