The Maintenance Technician II is responsible for ensuring optimal performance and reliability of automated manufacturing equipment and systems. This role will involve troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, mechanical, and control systems across the facility and automated packaging lines. 

  • Perform all job duties safely and in compliance with federal, state, and Rheem regulations. 

  • Diagnose, test, and repair electronic equipment such as HMI’s, PLC’s and industrial control systems using blueprints and manufacturer specifications, hand tools, and test instruments. 

  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance on automated machinery and equipment. 

  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and PLC ladder logic. 

  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve equipment reliability and performance. 

  • Support the installation and commissioning of new automation systems and equipment upgrades. 

  • Maintain accurate records of preventive maintenance activities and spare parts usage for the facility. 

  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and root cause analysis efforts. 

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by your supervisor. 

  • Education: Technical diploma or associate degree in Electrical engineering, automation, mechatronics, or related manufacturing maintenance field preferred.  

  • Minimum 3 years as a maintenance technician working on automated equipment preferred.  

  • The ability to demonstrate basic reading and writing comprehension. 

  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and programming PLC’s and HMI’s 

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, pneumatics, and hydraulics. 

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills; able to express ideas professionally and effectively in the common language. 

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company. 

  • Ability to obtain Rheem lift truck license 

  • Ability to work at heights (Up to 35ft)
