Requirements

- Current BLS
- Completion of Medical Assistant training program.
- Excellent communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethics and accountability.
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination.
- Assists with medical procedures and examinations
- Conducts patient interviews, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and phlebotomy.
- Performs EKG’s, dressing changes.
- Administers approved medications.
- Researches and scribes physicians’.
- Orders/accession orders for clinical laboratory or appropriate processing center.
- Performs administrative tasks by registering and scheduling patients for appointments, procedures, etc. using the various registration and scheduling systems.
- Perform other duties as needed.
