The University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences will hire a nurse project manager to support statewide quality improvement and workforce development programs. The position will take a leading role in developing and implementing curriculum on maternal and infant health for a variety of health professionals (nurses, community health workers, physicians, EMTs). This position is an ideal opportunity for individuals who have a passion for designing education programs and a strong desire to make a positive impact on maternal and infant health in Arkansas. Responsibilities will include researching topics and sources, developing instructional materials and assessments, and coordinating with subject matter experts to ensure the education reflects high quality and the best clinical evidence. This position will also contribute to implementation of curriculum, including securing approvals from credentialing bodies, developing external partnerships for training delivery, and managing workplans and reporting. The nurse program manager will join a dynamic and interdisciplinary team with collaborators across the UAMS College of Public Health, the UAMS Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, the Arkansas Perinatal Quality Collaborative, and the Arkansas Center for Women’s and Infants Health. The team partners closely with state agencies and external healthcare organizations.

Responsibilities

  • →Coordinates with an interdisciplinary team to define curriculum goals and learning objectives.
  • →Identifies and incorporates existing clinical practice recommendations and evidence-based guidelines and interventions.
  • →Applies pedagogical best practice to curriculum design, incorporating active learning and supportive assessments.
  • →Develops instructional materials and supports, including syllabi, presentations, checklists, guides, and flipbooks. 
  • →Develops work plans for meeting education deliverables, and coordinates the team to accomplish tasks within deadlines.
  • →Coordinates review and appropriate approval of all educational materials.
  • →Establishes partnerships with other teams and organizations to recruit learners and deliver trainings.
  • →Develops and implements data collection systems for reporting and quality monitoring.
  • →Serves as an expert trainer. 
  • →Performs other duties as assigned.
