Requirements

Preferred

- Experience working with children from birth to age 5 is highly desirable.
- Experience with pediatric gross motor delays or developmental disorders is a plus.

Responsibilities
~1 min read- Deliver evidence-based, developmentally appropriate physical therapy to children from birth to age 5.
- Provide individualized treatment based on each child’s needs, monitor progress, and adjust interventions to support optimal outcomes.
- Complete timely, accurate clinical documentation and weekly billing in accordance with UAMS Kids First and Medicaid requirements.
- Ensure documentation and billing accurately reflect services provided and individual treatment requirements.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to provide coordinated, high-quality care.
- Partner with families as active members of the treatment team and promote Family-Centered Care.
- Educate and empower families to support their child’s development at home and in the community.
- Contribute to the academic mission through student training, professional education, and community outreach.
- Participate in research, program initiatives, and other activities that advance pediatric care.
- Stay current in pediatric physical therapy, gross motor development, and evidence-based practices.
- Maintain professional licensure and demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning and clinical excellence.
- Promote professionalism, reliability, teamwork, and accountability in all aspects of the role.
- Perform other duties as assigned in support of the UAMS Kids First mission.
