UMBC offers competitive compensation. This role starts at $74,160.42 and has 14 days of vacation as well as winter break, spring break, and personal days for regular full time roles. Tuition remission is also available. Police officers are provided uniforms in addition to a clothing and equipment allowance. Shift differential is available for evening and midnight shifts. | Salary: |
Pay Range 12 (minimum: $51,069 maximum: $84,257) based on the University System of Maryland (USM) Pay Program. The salary of the finalist(s) will be based on the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) – Sworn Police Officers Bargaining Unit FOP Lodge #129. Minimum FOP MOU Starting Salary: $74,160.42. Salary increases upon completion of probation and UPO III eligibility. Police officers are provided uniforms in addition to a clothing and equipment allowance. Shift differential is available for evening and midnight shifts. You also have the potential to earn a stipend (on top of your base salary) for being radar or patrol rifle certified. Overtime opportunities are available. The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. |
