Assistant Manager

Role & Responsibilities Uniqus is seeking looking for an experienced and driven Assistant Manager with a Financial Services background to join our ARC team. The role involves delivering high-impact advisory services to clients in the banking, insurance, asset management, and fintech sectors, with a focus on complex IFRS matters, regulatory reporting, and transaction accounting. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on high-profile FS clients and complex financial reporting engagements in a fast-paced and dynamic market. Responsibilities: · Support and manage ARC projects for FS clients, including: · IFRS 9, IFRS 15, IFRS 16, IFRS 17 implementations and advisory · Financial instruments accounting (valuation, classification, impairment) · Preparation and review of financial statements under IFRS · Finance transformation and process optimization · Conduct technical accounting research and prepare client deliverables, including technical memos and position papers. · Work closely with FS clients to assess their accounting and financial reporting processes and provide tailored solutions. · Support Managers and Partners in project planning, execution, and client management. · Supervise and coach junior team members, ensuring high-quality deliverables. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams · Assist in business development efforts, proposals, and client presentations. Requirements >> THE INDIVIDUAL · Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. · Professional qualification (CA, ACCA, CPA) is required. · 4–6 years of experience in accounting advisory or audit, with a minimum of 2–3 years working with FS clients (banks, insurers, investment firms). · Strong understanding of IFRS, especially standards relevant to financial instruments and insurance contracts. · Experience in the UAE or wider GCC financial services market is a strong advantage. · Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills. · Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of data analytics tools is a plus. · Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage. >> Qualification · Opportunity to work with top-tier FS clients in the region · Exposure to complex financial reporting and regulatory matters · Dynamic and collaborative work environment · Competitive compensation and growth opportunities. · Ongoing support for professional development
