Health Unit Assistant- General Med 6T; 0.8 FTE; PM Shifts; M - F

Shifts: 8 hour shifts; PM shifts; Monday - Friday and holiday rotation.

The Health Unit Assistant (HUA) provides essential administrative and clerical support to ensure smooth operations within a healthcare unit. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The HUA serves as a central point of contact for staff, patients, families and other departments, assisting with administrative functions, patient flow and assisting with unit activities.

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Exceptional Customer Service skills
• Acquires and maintains skills necessary for role
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and basic computer applications
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Knowledge of Medical Terminology
• Previous clerical, customer service or other experience in a healthcare setting.

* Must be available the first week of employment for HUC orientations that takes place Monday - Friday 8AM - 4:30PM*
