Outreach Specialist

• 16.00 hourly, Non-Exempt (Eligible for overtime)
• 5 hours per week
• 100% Remote Work Availability: No
• Hybrid Work Availability (requires some time on campus): No

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position.

• →Serve as a representative of the Department of Communication by engaging and following up with prospective students through tabling events and other outreach and recruitment-related activities. 
• →Support alumni outreach and engagement efforts led by the Strategic Engagement and Outreach Committee. 
• →Assist with planning, coordination, and execution of departmental events and initiatives 
• →Perform other duties as assigned in support of committee and departmental priorities 

• Must have accepted a Federal Work Study Award for the relevant term
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to learn to explain the Department of Communication and its undergraduate and graduate degrees and certificate programs fluently
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check

• Experience with social media accounts and how they operate: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Experience with Graphic Design, and programs like Canva, Adobe Create Suite, or Microsoft products.
