  • Lead the visual design of nationally significant online education programs, collaborating with developers, educational designers and academics to deliver best-practice digital learning experiences.

About the Role

The Web Designer plays a key role in enhancing the student and stakeholder experience across nationally significant online education programs, including the Medicines Australia Continuing Education Program and the National Prescribing Curriculum. Working closely with developers, educational designers and academics, the role is responsible for creating engaging multimedia learning content such as videos, animations, web content, interactive activities and quizzes, while leading the visual design of learning management systems and online courses. The position supports the delivery of innovative, best-practice online education resources used across the Australian pharmaceutical and medical education sectors.

  • Work with our team, and wider School, to improve education content and delivery.
  • Advise on compliance requirements such as accessibility and copyright.

­What we’re looking for:

  • A relevant degree with subsequent relevant experience in web design and development; or extensive experience and specialist expertise or broad knowledge in web design, development and related technical fields; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Demonstrated specialist expertise in developing and implementing modern web content using HTML, CSS, JavaScript and related front-end technologies, with the ability to apply technical knowledge and judgement to develop effective solutions within a complex digital learning environment.
  • Experience using online authoring tools (such as Articulate Storyline/Adobe Captivate) to develop creative and engaging online education content, such as interactive exercises, engaging quizzes, video explainers, and other dynamic content.
  • Experience with video recording, editing and production, and a demonstrated ability to produce professional educational and promotional videos.
  • Demonstrated professional graphic design expertise, with the ability to apply visual design principles to web, learning management systems and digital learning environments.

Appointment to this role will be at HEO 6 and will have a total remuneration package of up to $116,872 comprising base salary within the range of $92,120 to $99,891 plus 17% superannuation.
