School Aide

As a School Aide, you’ll work closely with classroom teachers and therapists to support students in achieving their individualized education goals. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• →Assisting with classroom activities tailored to each student’s IEP
• →Supporting students during community occupational outings and field trips
• →Providing help with personal care and mealtime routines
• →Assisting in lunch preparation and cleanup
• →Maintaining classroom organization and cleanliness
• →Documenting observations and data with clarity and accuracy
• →Collaborating with therapists to implement therapy goals
• →Creating a positive, person-centered environment for every student

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid New York State Driver’s License
• Basic computer skills (Adobe Acrobat, Word, Outlook)
• A caring attitude and a commitment to helping others succeed
