Quality Assurance Inspector (Lafayette, LA)

This position will be located at the Halliburton Cell division of Vallourec Tube-Alloy.

The location of this will be in Lafayette, LA. 

Quality Assurance Inspector
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsible for setting up and performing dimensional inspections in intricate and close tolerance components using state of the art inspection equipment.  Position requires high degree of maturity and interface with shop floor personnel, manufacturing supervision and management.

DUTIES:

1. Must be able to perform all duties of a QA Inspector C, and Apprentice Inspector as well as perform the following duties, (as required by facility):
2. Perform Dimensional Inspections on Products Made to Customer’s Drawings
3. Perform Dimensional Inspections on Nipples
4. Assist all Departments with Locating, Customer, Licensor and Tube –Alloy Specifications
5. Contacts Licensor By Phone or by E-mail when Problems Arise
6. Verify Work Orders
7. Maintains the Gauge Usage Book
8. Verify Quote Drawings to the Licensor and Customer’s Blanking Dimension
9. Verify Customer Drawings to Licensor Thread Drawings
10. Must possess the confidence and maturity to work with Third Party Inspectors
11. Approval First and Last Article Molds
12. Verify Traces and Molds with Third Parity Inspectors
13. Ability to perform Final Inspections
14. Makes Thread Certifications, Product Certifications and COC
15. Makes Nipple Certifications
16. Makes Data Packets
17. Perform Phosphate Titration Test
18. Maintain Controlled Documents
19. Perform other duties as assigned.
