Position: Bicycle & Scooter Repair Technician
Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
Pay Rate: $16.00/hour
Location: 2650 S School Ave, Fayetteville, AR 72701

  • Thursday–Saturday: 12:00 AM–6:00 AM
  • Thursday–Sunday: 12:00 AM–6:00 AM

Please Note: Candidates must have reliable transportation to commute to and from the warehouse. Candidates must live near the Fayetteville, AR area and be able to reliably commute to the work location.

This is a hands-on position that requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull electric bikes and scooters weighing up to 80 lbs.

Are you interested in joining the growing electric vehicle and shared micromobility industry? If so, Veo’s Bicycle & Scooter Repair Technician role could be a great fit.

Veo is seeking Repair Technicians to maintain and repair our electric bike and scooter fleet. This role is ideal for mechanically inclined professionals who enjoy troubleshooting, solving problems, and performing hands-on repairs.

No electric vehicle experience is required. Professional or hobby experience repairing bikes, scooters, cars, motorcycles, or similar equipment is a great fit for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive repairs on Veo’s electric bikes and scooters, ranging from tightening bolts to replacing motors
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and determine appropriate repairs
  • Conduct quality checks and routine inspections to ensure vehicles meet safety standards
  • Follow established processes to accurately log and track maintenance records
  • Track inventory levels for spare parts on an ongoing basis
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment
  • Perform field tasks as needed, including swapping batteries and redistributing vehicles
  • Use hand and power tools to complete repairs and maintenance
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience in maintenance, mechanical repair, or automotive repair
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull electric bikes and scooters weighing up to 80 lbs
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
  • Comfortable using smartphones and mobile applications
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Comfortable performing hands-on mechanical work throughout the entire shift

Nice to Have

  • Previous repair or maintenance experience with bicycles, scooters, motorcycles, automobiles, or similar equipment
  • Basic knowledge of electronics and electrical components
  • Experience using hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of the Fayetteville, AR area and surrounding streets
  • Flexibility to work overnight and weekend shifts
  • Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, automotive, or mechanical environment
  • Pay Rate: $16.00/hour
  • Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor
  • Available Shifts:
    • Thursday–Saturday, 12:00 AM–6:00 AM
    • Thursday–Sunday, 12:00 AM–6:00 AM
