Garden State Veterinary Specialists in Eatontown, NJ is adding an entry-level support position to help maintain the cleanliness, organization, and nightly workflow of the hospital while also assisting with basic patient care duties. This role is ideal for someone dependable, detail-oriented, physically active, and comfortable working in a veterinary hospital environment.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Hospital Cleaning & Maintenance
- →Nightly cleaning of the entire hospital workspace
- →Sweeping and mopping floors throughout the working area
- →Taking out trash
- →Cleaning and disinfecting countertops, work tables, treatment areas, and workspaces
- →Assisting with maintaining a clean, organized, and sanitary environment at all times
- →Ensuring laundry is consistently washed, dried, folded, and restocked
- →Monitoring and replenishing hospital supplies and inventory as needed
- →Keeping treatment and work areas stocked and organized
- Must be comfortable working around sick, injured, and recovering animals
- Must be emotionally capable of assisting with deceased patients and cremation preparation when necessary
- Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable and punctual
- Strong work ethic
- Comfortable with physical labor and being on your feet throughout the night
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work respectfully with doctors, technicians, assistants, and clients
- Animal handling experience is a plus, but not required
- $17/hr - $18/hr
