Versar Global Solutions is seeking a Site Lead to support the United States Military Group – Iraq (USMILGP-Iraq) Security Assistance Mentors and Cultural Advisors (SAMA) project. The Site Lead will serve as the senior on-site contractor representative responsible for directing SAMA personnel, managing daily operations, coordinating travel and movement requirements, and ensuring effective support to the USMILGP-Iraq mission. This role requires a proven leader with strong operational planning, personnel accountability, administrative management, movement coordination, and cross-cultural communication skills in a deployed environment.
Responsibilities

- →Provide leadership, personnel management, planning, administration, project management, travel coordination, and current operations oversight for SAMA cultural advisors.
- →Maintain personnel accountability and submit daily PERSTAT reports to USMILGP-Iraq.
- →Update the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) on SAMA personnel travel, status, and related operational matters as required.
- →Perform Movement Coordinator duties by receiving, processing, tracking, and recording air and ground movement requests in support of USMILGP-Iraq.
- →Coordinate Embassy Air flights, Department of State Charter Air movements, secure ground transportation, Distinguished Visitor movements, and other movement requirements.
- →Coordinate MILAIR movements for rotary-wing and fixed-wing military aircraft and maintain access to the United States Transportation Command Single Mobility System (SMS).
- →Track Embassy Air and ground movements, exceptions to policy, and Distinguished Visitor movement activity.
- →Provide monthly movement summaries and operational updates to the COR and Contracting Officer (KO).
- →Adapt operational methods, training approaches, and advisor support activities to Iraqi customs, political structures, cultural concerns, and local sensitivities.
- A four-year degree from an accredited institution in a field related to the position is preferred; equivalent significant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree when approved by the Government.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and experience commensurate with a military non-commissioned officer with 8–12 years of leadership experience, or an equivalent level of corporate or private sector management experience.
- Experience planning and executing operations, including current operations, logistics, movement planning, travel coordination, personnel accountability, and administrative oversight.
- Proficient and experienced in coordinating air and ground movements, maintaining movement visibility, supporting force protection assessments, and serving as a subject matter expert for movement coordination.
- Ability to maintain access to and use the United States Transportation Command Single Mobility System (SMS), as required.
- Knowledge of Iraqi customs, culture, political structures, and cultural sensitivities, with the ability to adapt communication and operational approaches accordingly.
- Proficient in operating a personal computer and experienced in Microsoft Office software, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to coordinate with Government leadership, the COR, KO, and cross-functional mission partners.
- Ability to deploy to and work in Iraq in support of mission requirements.
- For U.S. Citizens, must complete deployment processing through an approved Continental United States (CONUS) Replacement Center (CRC), including required deployment training at designated CONUS deployment centers such as the CRC at Fort Bliss, Texas, and redeployment through such centers.
- Ability and willingness to travel internationally in support of mission needs, including movement by Embassy Air, Department of State Charter Air, secure ground transportation, and military air movements via rotary-wing and fixed-wing aircraft, as required.
- Must possess a valid passport with at least 18 months of remaining eligibility at the time of deployment.
- Must be proficient in English, both written and verbal, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Successful results of preemployment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screen.
- Comply with company drug and alcoholpolicy.
- Be authorized to work in the US or will be authorized by the successful candidate’s start date.
- Eligibility Requirement - US Citizen (This requirement is necessary to meet the security and eligibility requirements for the performance of this contract).

Requirements
~1 min readThe position will primarily work onsite in Iraq in support of USMILGP-Iraq mission requirements.
Primary duty locations may include Baghdad and/or Erbil, Iraq. In addition, the position may designate other temporary duty (TDY) locations, including but not limited to sites in the Middle East and the United States.
