Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our client’s portfolio by taking ownership of their accounting operations. You will oversee accounting workflows, ensure compliance with U.S. standards, and deliver financial insights that help clients make sound decisions. This is a hands-on role where you’ll manage client relationships, implement tools, and optimize accounting processes in a fully remote, fast-paced environment.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Managing the full accounting cycle for U.S.-based clients, including reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Applying startup accounting principles to balance best practices with resource constraints and evolving priorities.
• Making financial judgments in dynamic, less structured environments while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
• Integrating and optimizing external applications with QuickBooks Online to streamline accounting operations.
• Overseeing accounts payable/receivable, expense management, and vendor/client interactions.
• Leveraging tools such as QuickBooks Online, Slack, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Zoom, and Google Drive daily, with the opportunity to work with Rippling, Brex, Bill.com, ClickUp, Gusto, and Ramp.
• Staying current on emerging technologies and AI applications that can enhance accounting efficiency.

✅ What You’ll Need:

• 3–5 years of accounting experience with U.S.-based companies (CPA certification preferred).
• Proven success managing external stakeholders, ideally from a public accounting or client-facing environment.
• Strong knowledge of startup accounting practices, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Experience making informed financial judgments in fast-paced, less structured settings.

• Essential: QuickBooks Online (QBO), Slack, Google Sheets, Google Docs, Zoom, Google Meet, Google Drive.
• Highly desirable: Rippling, Brex, Bill.com, ClickUp, Gusto, Ramp.
• Experience integrating external applications with QuickBooks Online.
• Awareness of AI use cases in accounting (a plus).

• Full professional fluency in English (written & verbal), with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to non-finance professionals.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across digital channels, with a habit of providing clear context in asynchronous updates.
• Proactive, solutions-oriented self-starter with excellent time management, organization, and independent problem-solving skills.
• High sense of ownership, openness to feedback, and adaptability to changing priorities in a remote startup environment.
• Integrity, curiosity, and a strong bias toward action.
