Sioux Area Metro Utility Worker

Sioux Area Metro is South Dakota’s largest transportation provider. Our mission is to have a positive social and economic impact on the community by providing a safe and reliable transportation option for all who live, work, or play in Sioux Falls. 

As a Utility Worker at SAM by Via, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of SAM’s properties. On the job training will be provided.

• →Clean buses, bus shelters, and buildings
• →Maintain buildings and grounds, including general yard work and light building maintenance skills
• →Additional responsibilities will be shared during the interview

• Possess basic knowledge of HVAC, carpentry, and plumbing
• Hold a valid SD driver’s license
• Able to obtain a CDL permit
• Able to pass a pre-employment physical
• Pass a drug screening and background check: no felonies, clean MVR, no DUI/DWI or reckless driving convictions, and no more than 2 speeding tickets
• At least 21 years old
• Able to apply in person at the Sioux Area Metro office
