Packaging Manager

At Vilgain, packaging is not just something we put products into. It protects quality, shapes the customer experience, impacts logistics, supports scalability and increasingly defines how future-ready our products are.

We are looking for a Packaging Manager who will take ownership of packaging development across Vilgain. Someone who can connect product, production, supply chain, purchasing, regulatory and design - and turn packaging from a set of individual projects into a clear, scalable and future-proof system.

• Own packaging development across Vilgain - from defining packaging standards and long-term direction to leading packaging projects from idea to launch.

• Make sure our packaging protects product quality, supports a strong customer experience and can scale with our growth.

• Gradually build and lead our packaging capabilities, including ownership, priorities, processes and cooperation between specialists across sourcing, purchasing, technology and compliance.

• Drive new packaging solutions for existing and new product categories.

• Work with suppliers on innovations, improvements and new formats.

• Evaluate materials, packaging concepts and formats from both technical and business perspectives.

• Lead relationships with key packaging suppliers and negotiate commercial and technical conditions.

• Work closely with Product Development, Production, Supply Chain, Regulatory, Graphics and Purchasing.

• Bring structure into packaging decisions and make sure the final solution works not only on paper, but also in production, logistics, compliance and in the hands of the customer.

• You have experience in packaging development, procurement, manufacturing, product development or operations.

• You understand how packaging works in reality - technically, commercially and operationally.

• You can evaluate trade-offs between quality, cost, materials, production feasibility, logistics, compliance and customer experience.

• You have at least basic awareness of sustainability topics and packaging legislation.

• You enjoy ownership, decision-making and cross-functional work.

• You are structured, organised and able to manage multiple projects at once.

• You communicate clearly with suppliers, internal stakeholders and technical teams.

• You speak Czech and English.

• You feel comfortable in a fast-moving environment where packaging decisions directly impact product quality, customer experience and business performance.
