Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Construction Department and support cost management across multiple large-scale residential and hospitality developments.
The successful candidate will work closely with Construction, Cost Control, Design, Procurement, and Finance teams to ensure accurate quantity verification, contract administration, variation assessment, earned value reporting, and cost forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
This role is highly integrated with site operations and requires both technical knowledge and strong analytical skills.

Key Responsibilities
Quantity Surveying
  • Prepare and verify Bills of Quantities (BOQ) 
  • Review quantities from IFC drawings 
  • Verify contractor measurements and payment applications 
  • Perform on-site quantity verification 
  • Monitor material quantities and work progress 
  • Prepare quantity take-offs for tendering and project control 
Cost Control
  • Support project cost monitoring and forecasting 
  • Assist in monthly cost reporting 
  • Monitor committed costs versus budget 
  • Track project expenditures 
  • Identify potential cost overruns and recommend mitigation measures 

Contract Administration
  • Review contractor payment claims 
  • Verify completed work before certification 
  • Assess variation orders (VO) 
  • Review quotations for additional works 
  • Maintain variation logs 
  • Support contract compliance 

Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Calculate earned value based on verified physical progress 
  • Support monthly EV reporting 
  • Compare planned vs actual progress 
  • Analyze cost and schedule performance 
  • Assist in preparation of S-curves and performance dashboards 
Site Coordination
  • Conduct regular site inspections 
  • Verify completed quantities with Construction and QC teams 
  • Coordinate with Site Engineers and Project Managers 
  • Resolve quantity discrepancies with contractors 
  • Participate in progress meetings when required 
Documentation
  • Maintain quantity records
  • Update cost databases 
  • Prepare cost reports 
  • Maintain BOQ revisions 
  • Organize supporting documentation for payment approvals 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field 
  • Minimum 5 years of Quantity Surveying experience 
  • Experience with developer or main contractor preferred 
  • Experience on large residential, hotel, or mixed-use developments is an advantage 
Technical Skills
  • Excellent understanding of construction drawings 
  • Strong quantity take-off skills 
  • Good knowledge of construction methods 
  • Understanding of contract administration 
  • Knowledge of variation assessment 
  • Experience with progress valuation 
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills 
Software
Preferred experience with:
  • Microsoft Excel (Advanced) 
  • AutoCAD 
  • Bluebeam Revu (preferred) 
  • CostX (advantage) 
  • Primavera P6 (advantage) 
  • Microsoft Project 
  • PlanRadar (advantage) 
  • BIM model quantity extraction (advantage)

Preferred Experience
Experience working on projects involving:
  • High-rise residential developments 
  • Hotels and hospitality projects 
  • Multiple concurrent construction packages 
  • Developer-side project controls 
  • Earned Value Management (EVM) 
  • Contractor payment verification 
  • Cost forecasting and reporting 
Digital Construction Experience
Experience working with digital construction management platforms (e.g., PlanRadar, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore, Oracle Aconex, BIM 360, or similar) is highly desirable. Candidates should be comfortable using digital tools for progress verification, documentation, inspections, and project reporting.
