VCU School of Pharmacy is seeking an adjunct instructor to teach a 1-credit hour elective course focused on pharmaceutical industry fellowship preparation and training during the Spring 2027 semester. This elective course will provide second and third year pharmacy students with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a fellowship in the pharmaceutical industry. Qualified candidates outside of the Richmond area are encouraged to apply.

Instructor responsibilities include development of the course syllabus and course content, presentation of course content, use of Canvas as the course learning management system, grading of all assignments, and submission of course grades. The course may be delivered in-person or remotely.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree
  • Completed fellowship training in the pharmaceutical industry
  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU.
