Drilling Supervisor

The ideal candidate shall effectively and safely supervise drilling operations, ensuring drilling activities are carried out in accordance with operational requirements, safety standards, and established procedures. The role involves supervising drilling crews, coordinating daily drilling activities, monitoring equipment and performance, and ensuring production targets are achieved efficiently.

This role requires strong leadership, hands-on drilling experience, sound knowledge of drilling operations and equipment, and the ability to manage drilling teams while maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and operational performance.

3. →Enforces strict adherence to company HSE policies, procedures, and safe work practices.
4. →Supervises daily drilling operations, including rig performance, crew activities, and site workflows.
5. →Plans, organizes, and coordinates drilling activities in line with approved drilling programs.
6. →Oversees site preparation, drill pad construction, and access road readiness.
7. →Ensures drilling rigs are properly mobilized, positioned, and commissioned.
8. →Monitors drilling progress, penetration rates, and core recovery to meet operational targets.
9. →Coordinates with geologists regarding drill collar locations, orientations, and target depths.
10. →Ensures all drilling equipment is maintained, inspected, and serviced regularly.
11. →Conducts daily site inspections to identify hazards and enforce corrective actions.
12. →Leads daily toolbox meetings, shift briefings, and safety discussions.
13. →Reviews and approves daily drilling reports, logs, and production data.
14. → Manages workforce allocation, shift schedules, and contractor performance.
15. →Investigates incidents, near misses, and operational issues.
16. →Ensures compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements on site.
17. →Monitors drilling consumables usage and controls operational costs.
18. →Provides technical guidance and troubleshooting support to crews.
19. →Maintains communication with management regarding site performance and issues.
20. →Supports continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies.
21. →Develops, mentors, and trains local workforce and junior staff.
