As Senior Finance Business Partner – Consumer, you’ll take on a senior leadership role across our Finance and Consumer Leadership Teams, reporting into the CFO organisation and working closely with the Consumer Director and Senior Leadership Team. You’ll be the principal finance adviser to the Consumer business, helping shape our commercial strategy and translating our priorities into clear plans, investment choices and measurable outcomes. You’ll bring an independent, enterprise-wide perspective to decisions across growth, pricing, propositions, portfolio choices, channel economics, customer value, cost and transformation, balancing near-term performance with sustainable revenue, profitability and customer outcomes. You’ll lead the Consumer planning, budgeting and forecasting agenda and own the integrated view of performance across revenue, margin, Opex, Capex, customer, channel and operational drivers. Through monthly and in-cycle performance reviews, you’ll turn performance data, variance analysis and forward indicators into clear actions, providing early visibility of risks and opportunities and ensuring accountable mitigation and transparent escalation to local and Group stakeholders. You’ll also oversee the financial performance of relevant shared services, including Retail Stores, Publicity and Terminals, and present and defend Consumer plans, forecasts and performance with senior local and Group stakeholders. A key part of your role will be steering how we invest and allocate resources. You’ll own the financial evaluation, challenge and approval of material Consumer business cases, including tariffs, pricing, propositions, promotions, products and strategic investments. You’ll ensure decisions are supported by robust economics, modelling, sensitivities and scenarios, with clear consideration of risk, customer impact and strategic alignment. You’ll present credible alternatives and trade-offs and lead post-investment reviews to understand benefits realisation and strengthen future decision-making. ## You’ll chair our bi-weekly Commercial Committee, maintaining clear decision rights, approval standards and escalation routes, and ensuring approved assumptions are reflected in forecasts, reporting and controls. You’ll also help evolve how Finance supports the business. You’ll set the standard for concise, forward-looking and decision-relevant management information, integrating financial and non-financial KPIs to create a consistent performance narrative and trusted single version of the truth. Using HFM, SAP, SAP BI and local reporting tools, you’ll deepen commercial insight while simplifying, standardising and automating recurring activity. You’ll sponsor improvements across data quality, forecasting, reporting, governance and decision processes, and encourage thoughtful experimentation and innovation while maintaining disciplined management of return and risk. Your influence will extend across Vodafone Ireland and beyond. You’ll act as a trusted and independent sounding board to the Consumer Director, CFO and wider leadership team, communicating complex financial and commercial issues clearly and bringing evidence-based recommendations to executive discussions. You’ll build relationships across Consumer, Finance, Strategy, Technology, Operations, Group and other operating companies, bringing customer, competitor and wider market perspectives into our decision-making and helping the organisation respond effectively to change and uncertainty. Just as importantly, you’ll lead and develop a team of finance professionals, creating the capability, confidence and commercial mindset needed to influence the business at pace. You’ll set clear outcomes and standards, coach and develop talent, create stretch opportunities and build a diverse succession pipeline. As a member of both the Vodafone Ireland Finance Leadership Team and Consumer Leadership Team, you’ll contribute to wider Finance and company people priorities, capability building and ways of working, while acting as Cost Centre Manager for Commercial Finance and ensuring the function’s resources are managed with discipline and a clear focus on value. Success in the role means our Consumer strategy, financial plans and investment decisions are aligned and executable; revenue, margin, Opex, Capex, customer and strategic targets are actively managed with early intervention when performance moves off track; senior leaders have timely, decision-focused insight; business cases are robust, customer-led and accountable for delivering value; and Commercial Finance is an influential and commercially astute partner to the business. ## Who we are looking for You’ll be a commercially minded finance leader who can move comfortably between enterprise strategy, detailed economics and people leadership. You can turn complexity into focused choices and measurable outcomes, build trust with senior stakeholders and challenge constructively using evidence, judgement and a strong customer perspective. * Significant senior commercial finance or business partnering experience within a complex, customer-led organisation, ideally in an international or listed environment. * Proven experience shaping strategy and influencing executive decision-making across multiple disciplines. * Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to connect customer, market and operational drivers to P&L, cash and value outcomes. * Deep expertise across strategic planning, forecasting, performance management, investment appraisal, pricing and financial modelling. * A track record of building robust business cases, evaluating competing options and holding benefits to account following approval. * Strong understanding of financial governance, controls, IFRS and local GAAP. * Experience leading, coaching and developing high-performing finance professionals and creating an inclusive, accountable environment that encourages curiosity, constructive challenge and collaboration. ## * Executive-level communication, negotiation and influencing skills, including the confidence and judgement to challenge senior leaders constructively. * The ability to balance detailed analysis with an enterprise perspective, make sound judgements and operate effectively through change, ambiguity and uncertainty. * A recognised professional qualification such as ACA, CIMA, ACCA or an equivalent finance qualification. * An MBA or equivalent strategic business experience would be advantageous. * Experience within telecommunications, technology, subscription-based or other fast-moving consumer markets would be beneficial. * Strong awareness of global commercial, economic and industry trends and how they can influence business strategy. ## Not a perfect fit?
