Full Time Driver Role - B License - School & Ottawa University Route Combination

Reporting to the General Manager, The Ottawa University Shuttle Drivers are responsible for driving company owned vehicles in a safe and professional manner transporting University Students and Staff on a dedicated route. Each morning you will also drive a school bus route for us beforehand.

Successful candidates must provide a high degree of customer service in a fast-paced environment while embracing the unique duties of an shuttle driver. You will be representing the Voyago brand and maintaining our respected reputation in the transportation industry.

• Driving a school bus as a spare in the morning, and then moving over to the Ottawa University Shuttle route in the afternoon every weekday for the months of September (after Labour Day) to April (last week day). May and June will have varying schedules.
• School Bus Schedule will be a morning route between 630-930am. The University Shuttle Schedule will be Monday to Friday from 1:45pm to 5:15pm
• When your school bussing is completed in the morning, you will then need to drive your own vehicle to the Coventry Yard to get the Ottawa U vehicle. With a morning schools route and this afternoon route of 3.5 hours on the shuttle, your total weekly hours will likely fall into the (30+ hours per week) making your eligible for Sun Life benefits at 3 months of employment in this dual role. You will continue to monitor and adhere to MTO Guidelines for Hours of Service.
• Manage safe, defensive, and respectful driving in all types of weather
• Navigate dense urban driving in a large city
• Provide excellent customer service to your passengers and the general public
• Act as an ambassador for the Voyago/Transdev brand

• You hold a Clean Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector Search
• You hold a full B licence (school bus license)
• You have proven excellent customer service skills
• You are a strong communicator, English is essential
• You have strong time management and organization skills
• You have experience with passengers who may have special needs
• You are comfortable with service animals on board
• You have a good understanding of the vehicle for hire industry
