VSC Fire & Security Corporate in Richmond, Virginia is seeking candidates for the position of Director of Collections.

Requirements

Minimum of (10) years of experience with hands on A/R Department management.
Proficient Microsoft Excel experience, including lookups and pivots.
Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
Experience with cloud-based collections platforms.
Experience leading teams across multiple locations a plus.
Knowledge of Construction Industry billing and collections practices a plus.
Desireable but not required:
- Experience with Sage Intacct

Responsibilities

→Own the overall accounts receivable balance and credit risk exposure for the Company.
→Reduce Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improve overall cash flow.
→Develop mechanisms to monitor and assess service delivery to internal stakeholders across all supported offices.
→Proactively identify and communicate watch-list projects and/or customers to the CFO and Regional leadership.
→Develop, monitor, and report key performance indicators, including DSO, AR aging percentages, and concentrations of credit risk.
→Generate actionable, targeted feedback on outstanding AR for high-risk divisions.
→Partner with offices nationwide to ensure adoption of collection best practices.
→Prepare and analyze aging reports, reviewing regularly with collectors and office leadership, and escalating to the CFO and COO as needed.
→Collaborate with local offices and the Corporate Collections Team to resolve collections issues.
→Establish and monitor performance metrics for the collections team and individual offices.
→Identify and recommend process improvement opportunities.
→Advise on and support implementation of new or revised processes, including documentation and training.
