Director of Nursing in Training (RN)

At Vetter Senior Living, we have spent more than 50 years creating exceptional living experiences and providing outstanding care for older adults. As our organization continues to grow, we are looking for experienced Registered Nurses who are ready to take the next step in their careers through our Director of Nursing Leadership Development Program.

This program is designed for motivated nursing professionals who aspire to lead clinical teams, influence quality outcomes, and ultimately advance into a Director of Nursing position within our organization.

The Director of Nursing Leadership Development Program provides an immersive learning experience that combines mentorship, leadership training, and practical operational exposure. Participants work alongside experienced clinical leaders to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully manage nursing services within a long-term care setting.

The program typically spans 6 to 12 months, depending on individual progress and readiness for placement.

Participants will develop expertise in key areas, including:

• Clinical leadership and staff engagement
• Quality assurance and performance improvement
• Regulatory compliance and survey preparation
• Financial management and resource planning
• Resident-centered care practices
• Team coaching, accountability, and workforce development

As a participant in the program, you will receive:

• One-on-one mentorship from experienced Directors of Clinical Services
• Ongoing support from Vetter Senior Living's Clinical Advisory Council
• Hands-on leadership experiences in skilled nursing environments
• Access to workshops, simulations, online learning, and professional development resources
• Support in obtaining ANAAC Director of Nursing Certification
• Consideration for Director of Nursing opportunities within the Vetter Senior Living network upon successful completion
