This position reports to the Controller and is responsible for worldwide tax matters including tax compliance, research, planning, and audit. Position additionally ensures compliance with federal (U.S.) and state & local tax, and foreign jurisdiction laws and regulations. Responsible for the filing all Company tax returns, including those for all subsidiaries and affiliates. Responsible for FAS 109 calculations and related tax global accounting matters. Coordinate all (worldwide) tax audits conducted by respective tax authorities. Communicate and interact with management team members, outside tax advisors, accountants and consultants engaged by the Company, as well as tax authorities and their representatives. Responsible for preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings for foreign countries by coordinating and directing accountants located in those countries.

As a Tax Manager, you will play a crucial role in managing our tax compliance and reporting activities. You will work closely with our finance and accounting teams to ensure compliance with tax regulations, optimize tax strategies, and minimize tax liabilities. This position offers a unique blend of technical expertise, leadership, and critical thinking.

Responsibilities

  1.  Tax Compliance: Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all federal, state, and local tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and property tax.
  2. Tax Planning: Develop and implement tax planning strategies to optimize the company's overall tax position while ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  3. Financial Reporting: Supervise the preparation of tax provisions for financial statements in accordance with ASC 740 (formerly FAS 109).
  4. Audit Support: Collaborate with external auditors and tax authorities during tax audits and provide necessary documentation and support to resolve tax-related issues.
  5. Transfer Pricing: Manage transfer pricing policies and documentation to ensure compliance with international tax regulations.
  6. Tax Research: Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, and provide guidance to the organization on the impact of these changes.
  7. Tax Strategy: Develop and communicate tax strategies that align with the company's financial goals and business objectives.
  8. Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor tax analysts and specialists within the tax department, fostering their professional growth and development.
  9. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation in tax compliance and reporting functions.

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA certification preferred.

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive tax experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations.
  • Experience in the technology or cybersecurity industry is a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel.
