Waymo's Product Data Science team works cross-functionally with Engineering, Product and Operations to help the company make the most informed decisions using data. Our team collaborates on high-impact projects across the company — from driving quality and operational efficiency to market analysis and rider satisfaction scores — we help to safely and efficiently scale the Waymo Driver. We are data-driven, curious, open-minded, and adapt quickly to new information.
This role follows a hybrid work schedule and you will report to the Manager of Product Data Science.
- Develop a deep understanding of how users experience and interact with Waymo as they ride, leveraging qualitative feedback to develop quantitative methods for understanding and improving features
- Run experimentation to measure the effectiveness of in-car features on things like user feedback & retention
- Identify gaps for potential improvements & new product features
- Collaborate with Eng to develop robust data foundations for measuring new feature performance
- Collaborate with Product & Eng on the development of future Waymo platforms & vehicles
- Coding skills (Python & SQL)
- Experience with A/B testing & Product Development
- At least 3 years of industry experience
- Strong Communication and Stakeholder & Management skills
- Intuition for when to be scrappy and when to be vigorous
- Experience with physical product development
- SF Bay Area based (you’ll need to spend a lot of time riding Waymos)
The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
