Guest Director for Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts—Carrie: The Musical

Webster University’s Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts invites applications for the position of Guest Director for Sargent Conservatory of Theatre Arts’ Spring Production of CARRIE: THE MUSICAL 

Directors set their artistic vision for a show, including selecting the student cast, collaborating with the team of student designers, leading rehearsals, blocking/choreographing the action, and guiding the overall aesthetic of the production. 

Guest directors will: 

- Attend semester auditions to select the student cast members  

- Lead rehearsals  

- Monitor production's pacing  

- Collaborate with production team, including student stage managers  

- Collaborate with team of student designers 

- Collaborate with producer and faculty to ensure artistic process aligns with educational goals of the department 

- Deliver a high-caliber production 

Bachelor's degree and/or extensive experience in the field
