~1 min read- →Manage program-specific billing, including the preparation of monthly invoices and proactive follow-up on outstanding accounts receivable
- →Accurately deposit and record all incoming cash receipts
- →Record donations and generate monthly donation reports for review
- →Reconcile credit card expenses and assist cardholders with inquiries
- →Reconcile assigned balance sheet accounts to ensure ledger accuracy
- →Verify the accuracy of descriptions on Certificates of Insurance and distribute them to funders in a timely manner
- →Provide cross-functional support and backup coverage for Accounts Payable operations as needed
- →Perform other related duties and special projects as assigned
Requirements
~1 min read- At least two (2) years of accounting experience, preferably working with non-profits or healthcare clinics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or closely related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of the general ledger and accounts receivable.
- Familiarity with GAAP and understanding of the accounting receivable cycle.
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Experience with computerized accounting systems, preferably Abila MIP.
- Experience with G-Suite Applications.
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel.
- Ability to prioritize and work accurately with close attention to detail, strong time management skills and an ability to work within defined deadlines.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a diverse multidisciplinary team.
- Ability to work in-person at our Oakland, CA office (relocation assistance not provided)
