It is composed of a multidisciplinary team of designers, technicians, lab and design engineers. ## This role in summary As a Materials Engineer (Sr. Analyst, Eng), you will drive the evaluation, selection, and deployment of raw materials and innovative technical solutions for both new product launches and existing product enhancements.The Materials Engineer (Sr. Analyst, Eng.) is responsible for coordinating technical initiatives, leading and tracking development efforts, and delivering technical guidance to key stakeholders. Additionally, this role oversees testing priorities within the Dishwasher materials laboratory. ## Your responsibilities will include * Materials Engineer (Sr. Analyst, Eng): * Serves as a contact for Platform & Architecture Leaders and cross-functional stakeholders (including Global Strategic Sourcing, Manufacturing, Quality, Global Consumer Design, Advanced Manufacturing, and Marketing). * Delivers cost and quality targets for the respective Platform. * Coordinates structured problem-solving globally and cross-functionally. * Drives product innovation and continuous improvement, with potential to generate intellectual property. * Supports specific competency areas (e.g., adhesives and tapes) to maintain technical capability. * Provides input to Planning and Architecture teams to select optimal raw material solutions for existing and future projects. * Helps define priorities in collaboration with other Materials teams, Subject Matter Experts, and Laboratories. * Interfaces with design teams to align on raw material strategy and selection. * Gathers regional requirements with subsystems early in projects to balance design, cost, performance, and regional supply constraints. * Resolves materials-related quality issues, supply interruptions, or manufacturing challenges by leveraging global resources. * Drives implementation of raw material solutions on new and existing products while meeting timeline, cost, and quality standards. * Fosters knowledge reuse. ## Minimum requirements * Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Materials or related field * 3+ years of experience in the development and implementation of materials solutions in areas including cost reduction, quality improvement, implementation of new projects and/or new technologies * 3+ years of experience in project management * 3+ years of experience of technical leadership / technology implementation ## Preferred skills and experiences * Master’s Degree in Materials Science or Chemistry or Mechanical / Chemical / Materials Engineering, * Materials science knowledge at raw material level, * Experience in raw material processing applied to our industry, * Good understanding of developing and implementing main raw material commodities (coatings, metals, resins, PU foam & gases). Specific knowledge in white goods industry is considered a plus, * Ability to interact with different Functions (including Engineering, Global Consumer Design, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, Marketing), * Sense of urgency, and ability to work under pressure for multiple tasks, * Natural, strong attitude for problem-solving, critical thinking, proactive behaviour, respect for commitments and deadlines, * Actively breaking down boundaries and encouraging others to do the same. Communication skills with higher leadership: projects / initiatives / conclusions / report outs, * Soft skills to work in a multicultural / multiregional team.
