Drafting Technician

Description

• →Review customer technical drawings and schematics using company software.
• →Verify the accuracy of all weights and ensure prices are included on all relevant details.
• →Include copies of details for any parts not readily available in the manufacturing shop, ensuring they are organized with shop details.
• →Perform thorough reviews and evaluations of completed drawings to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project specifications.
• →Update and revise drawings as needed to reflect changes in materials or production methods throughout the project lifecycle.
• →Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on requirements and project objectives.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Proven experience as a draftsman or similar role.
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software, such as AutoCAD.
• Solid understanding of metal building manufacturing processes, materials, and fabrication techniques.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of metal building standards and regulations related to drafting and manufacturing.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
