Position Senior Project Manager – Construction & Systems Integration

Reports to Chief Operating Officer - Endless Surf
Purpose
As the Senior Project Manager, you will be accountable for the end-to-end delivery of Endless Surf projects globally, leading execution from contract award through design, procurement, construction, commission, operational launch, and service activation. This role ensures the successful integration of the Endless Surf wave lagoon system within client-led large scale development projects. You will bring deep expertise in integrating specialized equipment and technology systems to ensure seamless coordination between design engineering, construction execution, and operational performance requirements. Acting as the central point of leadership across multidisciplinary teams including civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and controls as well as aligning developers, EPC contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities, you will drive safe, on-time, on-budget, and margin-aligned delivery. With full ownership of project performance, the Senior Project Manager ensures each facility is fully commissioned and operational on Day 1, while establishing and scaling project management methodologies, governance, and reporting frameworks to support a growing global portfolio and consistent, profitable delivery of complex projects.
Key Responsibilities – What You’ll Be Up To
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, developers, contractors, and partners, manage complex, multi-party stakeholder environments
- Drive design coordination and technical documentation to ensure constructability, sequencing, design compliance, and alignment with overall project schedules
- Lead construction execution of the Endless Surf scope, acting as the primary interface between Endless Surf and client-led civil, infrastructure, structural, and MEP works and efficiently deploying site supervision, engineering, training and commissioning assets (internal and 3rd party) for work completion
- Manage procurement, logistics, and delivery of mechanical and electrical equipment, ensuring readiness to support construction sequencing and installation milestones
- Direct and oversee contractors and subcontractors during installation, ensuring compliance with Endless Surf specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements
- Remote management of site activities, resolving field issues, coordinating interfaces, and maintaining progress against schedule, cost, and quality targets
- Ensure seamless integration of Endless Surf systems within the broader construction works, proactively managing interfaces, dependencies, and risks across disciplines
- Lead commissioning strategy, execution, and system validation, including performance testing and defect resolution
- Project manage client training and operational handover, including integration of proprietary software systems (client booking system and equipment performance and maintenance monitoring system readiness) to enable a successful Day 1 launch
- Maintain rigorous control of schedule, cost, margin, quality, and customer satisfaction. Owning project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow performance of client and supplier invoicing and payment
- Support activation and transition ongoing service contracts and recurring revenue to the operations team
- Establish and implement project management standards, tools, and reporting frameworks
- Introduce governance structures including risk management, stage gates, and performance tracking across all projects
- Provide clear portfolio-level reporting to leadership
Qualifications & Experience – Hard Skills Qualify You
- 10–15+ years in project/program management in civil and commercial construction, infrastructure
- PMP certification (or equivalent required)
- Post-secondary education in engineering (civil, structural, industrial, mechanical and/or electrical), construction management, or related field (P. Eng an asset)
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Proven experience delivering multi-disciplinary systems within larger development projects
- Demonstrated experience in commissioning and operational launch of facilities or systems
- Strong commercial acumen, including contract execution, cost control, and cash flow management
- Proficiency in project tools (MS Project, Excel, SharePoint; ERP experience an asset)
- Internationally up to 40% of the time required
Preferred Experience
- Entertainment, theme parks, resorts, or destination developments
- Large civil or commercial construction project experience
- Complex mechanical/electrical system or large scale complex capital design and installation
- Owner’s representative or developer-side roles in large scale, complex projects
