You understand the responsibility of counselling practice. Now help students develop the knowledge, skill and self-awareness to do it safely. 

Good counselling training is about more than learning theory.

Students need to understand ethics, boundaries, listening, reflection, supervision and the professional responsibility that comes with supporting another person. They need space to practise, question, develop confidence and understand themselves as future practitioners.

As our Counselling Lecturer, you’ll help create that learning.

You’ll teach across counselling programmes, supporting learners to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed for safe and ethical practice. You’ll bring your own counselling experience into the classroom, helping students connect theory with the real expectations of the profession.

You may already be an experienced lecturer. You may be a qualified counsellor who has supported others through supervision, mentoring, training or group work and now wants to move further into education. What matters is that you can bring professional credibility, care and clarity to the learning environment.
