Quinnipiac University is seeking an innovative and strategic leader to serve as Director of AI Strategy and Excellence. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Director will help define and advance the University’s enterprise approach to artificial intelligence (AI), guiding how Quinnipiac thoughtfully and strategically uses AI to enhance how we work, teach, learn, and serve our community. Working closely with the CIO, the Director will help develop the University’s enterprise AI roadmap and governance framework, establishing the strategic direction, principles, and practices that will guide the responsible, ethical, secure, and effective use of AI across the institution. The Director will assess emerging AI opportunities, help identify areas where AI can create meaningful institutional value, and translate those opportunities into a coordinated strategy for adoption and innovation. The Director will serve as a member of Quinnipiac’s AI Taskforce, working collaboratively with leaders and stakeholders from across the University. The Taskforce will help establish implementation priorities for the AI roadmap, while the Director will help coordinate and advance those priorities in partnership with the CIO and appropriate University stakeholders. This collaborative approach will ensure that AI initiatives are strategically aligned, appropriately governed, and responsive to the University's evolving needs. A critical component of the role is partnering with academic leadership, faculty, and other members of the University community to ensure that enterprise AI strategies complement and support Quinnipiac’s teaching, learning, research, and student success priorities. The Director will help foster meaningful connections between administrative and academic applications of AI and promote a cohesive, forward-looking institutional approach to AI excellence. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic advisor, thought leader, and catalyst for innovation, helping Quinnipiac navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape. This position will balance vision and execution working with leadership to establish strategy and governance while helping move prioritized AI initiatives from planning to implementation.
