Quinnipiac University invites applications for the position of Manager of Student Employment and Graduate Assistantships, a highly visible leadership role that plays a critical part in supporting student success and advancing the university's workforce development initiatives. Reporting to the University Director of Financial Aid, the Manager of Student Employment and Graduate Assistantships provides centralized leadership for the coordination, administration, and compliance of all on-campus and university-affiliated student employment, including Federal Work-Study, institutional non-federal work-study positions, graduate student employment, and graduate assistantships across the university. Working collaboratively with academic units and administrative offices across the University, the Manager ensures consistent practices, regulatory compliance, and a high-quality student employment experience that supports both student success and institutional needs. This role also serves as a strategic partner in maximizing the effective use of student employment and financial aid funding while helping connect students with meaningful employment opportunities aligned with their academic and career interests. |

| Responsibilities: |
- Provide centralized coordination of all on-campus student employment processes, including recruitment support, hiring, onboarding, job training, and oversight. This includes off-campus jobs that are under the direction of and administered by the University, such as America Reads, or with other non-profit agencies
- Serve as the primary institutional resource for student employment policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and institutional regulations.
- Coordinate administration of the Federal Work‑Study program in partnership with the Offices of Financial Aid, Human Resources and Budget.
- Monitor student eligibility, earnings limits, and regulatory compliance
- Develop and maintain clear guidance for departments employing Federal Work-Study students to ensure compliance with federal regulations, including expectations related to job duties, position eligibility, and program requirements.
- Coordinate graduate student employment and graduate assistantship appointments in collaboration with academic units and the Office of Graduate Studies.
- Develop and implement clearer, more consistent graduate assistantship processes, guidelines, and position definitions to support compliance, transparency, and operational efficiency across the University.
- Support consistent appointment practices, documentation, and tracking of stipends, employment terms, and budget-related considerations associated with graduate student employment and assistantships.
- Serve as a centralized point of contact for graduate student employment processes, reporting, and related policy guidance.
- Partner with Human Resources to ensure accurate processing of student payroll and employment records
- Support departments and supervisors on integral aspects of student employment administration, including hiring, onboarding, timekeeping, and employment systems, while proactively monitoring student earnings, funding allocations, and employment eligibility
- Collaborate with the Budget Office to ensure institutional alignment regarding Federal Work-Study expenditures. Manage student employment funding allocations and budgets, monitor utilization, and reallocate funds as needed to support operational needs across departments.
- Develop and deliver training, guidance, and resources for departments and supervisors on effective student employment practices
- Support students in navigating student employment opportunities by providing guidance on positions aligned with their interests, skills, academic programs, and professional goals
- Serve as a primary point of contact for students and departments regarding employment eligibility, policies, procedures, and payroll-related inquiries.
- Maintain student employment web content, documentation, communications, and related educational materials for students and departments.
- Analyze student employment data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for process improvement, and prepare reports/recommendations for operational enhancements to improve consistency, compliance, and efficiency.
- Collaborate on cross-functional initiatives and projects related to student employment, workforce planning, operational efficiency, and administrative processes.

Education Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree required• Master’s degree in higher education administration, human resources, public administration, business administration, or a related field preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3–5 years of progressively responsible professional experience in higher education, human resources, payroll, financial aid, or student employment administration. Experience administering or supporting student employment, Federal Work-Study, payroll, financial aid, or related compliance-driven programs is preferred
- Working knowledge of Federal Work‑Study regulations strongly preferred
- Experience with HRIS systems, student information systems, or payroll platforms preferred, or demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn, utilize, and develop proficiency in new systems and processes
- Proficiency in developing reports, monitoring budgets or expenditures, and analyzing data to support operational decision-making and process improvements preferred
- Track record of interpreting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements and applying them consistently and effectively
- Experience coordinating complex administrative or compliance‑driven processes across multiple stakeholders.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with individuals at all levels of the institution
