We are seeking an Experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing Geosciences team in Brisbane. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key technical role on a diverse portfolio of projects across infrastructure, water, renewables, mining and energy sectors, while contributing to the continued growth of our geotechnical capability across Queensland and the wider APAC region.
Working within a collaborative and highly skilled team, you will support and deliver projects ranging from major transport infrastructure and water assets through to mining, renewables, offshore wind and energy developments. As part of Worley's global geotechnical community, you will have the opportunity to work on local Queensland projects, as well as high-profile national and international assignments, drawing on the expertise of specialists across Australia and around the world.
About the Role
As an Experienced Geotechnical Engineer, you will:
- Support, lead and deliver geotechnical investigations and assessments across infrastructure, mining, renewables and energy projects.
- Plan, scope and supervise field investigations, including drilling, CPTs, test pits and geotechnical logging.
- Undertake geotechnical analyses and develop practical, safe and cost-effective engineering solutions.
- Prepare and review geotechnical reports, specifications, proposals and engineering recommendations.
- Manage geotechnical project deliverables, schedules and budgets.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
- Support and mentor graduate and developing engineers.
- Undertake occasional site work and travel within Australia and internationally as required.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Degree qualifications in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Experience delivering geotechnical investigations, interpretation, engineering assessments and IFC documentation across infrastructure, mining, energy and/or renewables projects.
- Chartered Engineer status, or significant progress towards achieving Chartered status (CPEng).
- RPEQ registration, or eligibility and commitment to obtain RPEQ within six months.
- Strong technical capability in geotechnical analysis, interpretation and reporting.
- Experience managing project work scopes and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
- Well-developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience using industry-standard geotechnical software packages.
- Current Australian driver's licence and Australian working rights.
- Current valid passport.
- Construction Industry White Card (or equivalent).
