Due to an internal promotion, we have an exciting leadership opportunity for a technically strong engineering professional looking to lead and grow Worley’s Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) capability across New Zealand. As EC&I Discipline Manager, you will provide strategic leadership, technical direction, and people management while supporting successful project delivery and ensuring our capability remains industry-leading, collaborative, and aligned with future market opportunities.

This role can be based in either our Auckland or New Plymouth office.

We specialize in consulting, engineering, procurement and construction across the project lifecycle, with services extending through to operations and decommissioning.

In New Zealand, we have six offices across the country and work with a diverse range of customers in the energy, water, power and industrial sectors. We love solving complex problems and contribute from the earliest stages of consulting and engineering through to installation, commissioning and operational support.

• →Lead, mentor and develop a team of Electrical, Control & Instrumentation engineers and designers across New Zealand.
• →Provide strong technical leadership and governance across a diverse portfolio of projects.
• →Support resource planning, capability development, succession planning and recruitment activities.
• →Ensure engineering deliverables meet quality, safety, regulatory and customer requirements.
• →Drive consistency in engineering standards, procedures and technical excellence across the discipline.
• →Support project delivery through technical reviews, design assurance and problem solving.
• →Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop practical and innovative customer solutions.
• →Support business development activities, proposals and customer engagement opportunities.
• →Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, industry stakeholders and internal teams.
• →Identify opportunities for innovation, digital enablement and continuous improvement within the discipline.
• →Champion a strong safety culture and commitment to sustainable engineering solutions.

• A degree qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status.
• Demonstrated experience leading Electrical, Control and Instrumentation engineering teams within consulting, industrial, energy, water, infrastructure or resource environments.
• Strong technical expertise across power distribution, electrical systems, SCADA, PLCs, DCS, industrial communications, instrumentation, process control and automation.
• Experience delivering projects through feasibility studies, concept development, FEED, detailed design, construction support, commissioning and operational support phases.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and mentor engineering talent while fostering high-performing teams.
• Strong customer relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Excellent communication, leadership and influencing capabilities.
• Commercial awareness and an understanding of project delivery requirements.
• A passion for innovation, continuous improvement and technical excellence.
• Current New Zealand working rights.
