Manages Quality for one or multiple locations within a sub-region, partnering with location leadership and delivery managers to deploy Quality planning and activities that ensure the Worley policies, standards and procedures are effectively implemented by the business and on projects. Establishes the annual location plan for Quality activities and verifies that business compliance is in accordance with the Company values, risk appetite, regulations, obligations and laws. Provides performance insight to the location project delivery leads and the business leadership through regular reporting by the function. Is an integral part of the sub-region Quality team, functionally reporting into the sub-region head of Quality. This role executes approved Quality strategies.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Builds and maintains positive working relationships with key stakeholders to ensure Quality expectations and requirements are met. Seeks to learn and build understanding of customer / stakeholder objectives, shares insight and influences action.
- →Oversees input to local pursuit efforts as required ensuring risk management activities are applied and adequate Quality resource allocation is included.
- →Keeps abreast of emerging trends including technology and identifies opportunities to enhance business outcomes through automation and application of new technology. Develops and steward’s business cases as required.
- →Challenges and influences internal and external stakeholders to apply continuous improvement, learnings from delivery of projects, and deployment of Quality strategic initiatives and campaigns.
- →Plans, develops and oversees the co-ordination and cost of Quality activities including assessments, global certification surveillances, and external and internal reporting as required.
- →Provides analysis to identify common themes and trends as determined from the location Quality data. Responsible for compiling the annual performance review and ensuring business improvements are embedded into the following years business strategic planning.
- →Leads the development, improvement and maintenance of location assurance portals and systems, leveraging automation and digital products where possible, to meet business needs as required.
- →Provides Quality insights and advice to support leaders with project planning and decision making by scanning emerging risk trends, learnings and exposures; engages people in the management of risk and ensures they are aware of their accountabilities with regards to risk management.
- →Develops and guides project Quality team members, fostering one networked team collaboration to build and refine collective capabilities and knowledge assets. Connects function expertise across projects at the locations, sharing learnings and knowledge.
Requirements
~1 min read- Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Business, or related field.
Accreditations (Essential): - ISO 9001 Auditor or equivalent auditor training that can be evidenced with context and methodology of training and practical implementation.
- Training (current and future):
• ISO Standards: ISO 9001
• Construction codes and standards awareness
• Risk Management knowledge
• Root Cause Analysis (RCA) methodology and tools (familiar with failure mode investigation techniques or equivalent)
• Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and approach, able to guide development
• Digital QA/QC tools and systems - Engineering, construction, or EPC environments, with multi-site leadership experience. 3-5 years in project quality management roles.
- Project Lifecycle Working Knowledge: Quality Management across design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases
- Interface skills to engage with customer quality representative
- Cross sector experience and able to collaborate with other function leaders to support effective delivery of projects and services
- Quality Management covering Planning, Quality Assurance (QA), Quality Control (QC)
- Manages cost of the Quality function and team in the locations, and for activities or initiatives on building Quality culture and team capability.
- Regulatory and standards Knowledge:
• Experience with Quality and compliance auditing
