Objective

Senior Commissioning Manager for a minings project

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will perform the duties of a Senior Commissioning Manager with experience in major earthworks, infrastructure projects, and large-scale construction developments. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

a. Lead the Commissioning team and coordinate activities with Construction, Quality, HSE, Environmental, Planning & Cost Control, Camp Management, and Services teams.

b. Define Pre-Commissioning documentation and establish Commissioning Plans. Manage the relationship with the Client.

c. Ensure the availability of all procedures and records required for the Commissioning phase.

d. Verify the formal handover of Operations and Maintenance Manuals for new or modified facilities and ensure that Operations and Maintenance personnel training has been completed.

e. Manage and coordinate the subcontractors/vendors required to complete Commissioning activities, which were identified during the overall project execution phase.

f. Monitor site records and documentation. Prepare and control Service Orders and Material Requisitions as required.

g. Monitor HSE, QA/QC, and Environmental non-conformities, ensuring compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulations.

h. Report directly to the Project Construction Director or designated Area Managers.

i. Maintain effective working relationships with Company functional departments.

j. Participate in regular project meetings and prepare associated reports.

k. Perform administrative duties applicable to all company employees, including timesheet submission, mandatory training completion, and other related activities.

What you will bring

• The ideal candidate must hold an Engineering degree or a similar university qualification, with more than 15 years of proven experience in commissioning  plants, such as Mining, Oil & Gas, or similar industrial facilities.

• The successful candidate must demonstrate:

• Strong Project Management skills.
• Contract Administration experience.
• Leadership of multidisciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of planning and scheduling practices.
• Understanding of Quality Control, HSE, and Environmental Management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Experience managing contractors and client relationships.
• Strong reporting and stakeholder management capabilities.

• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
