Woven by Toyota is enabling Toyota’s once-in-a-century transformation into a mobility company. Inspired by a legacy of innovating for the benefit of others, our mission is to challenge the current state of mobility through human-centric innovation — expanding what “mobility” means and how it serves society.

Our work centers on four pillars: AD/ADAS, our autonomous driving and advanced driver assist technologies; Arene, our software development platform for software-defined vehicles; Woven City, a test course for mobility; and Cloud & AI, the digital infrastructure powering our collaborative foundation. Business-critical functions empower these teams to execute, and together, we’re working toward one bold goal: a world with zero accidents and enhanced well-being for all.

The Human Resources (HR) team at Woven by Toyota partners with our global workforce to deliver employee-focused experiences and programs that drive engagement and growth. HR plays a key role in supporting talent development, fostering a positive workplace culture, and ensuring employees have the resources they need to succeed. By collaborating across the company, HR helps enable Woven by Toyota’s mission and supports employees at every level.

This is a 3-month trainee opportunity designed to give you hands-on exposure to  HR Operations and key HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Benefits, Compensation, and core HR processes. You will collaborate with our HR Operations and Systems teams, developing practical skills in HR and business systems while contributing with integrity and professionalism.

You will also gain experience in data auditing, documentation, knowledge management, and process improvement while learning how HR supports company-wide programs. Throughout the role, you will strengthen your communication, collaboration, and organizational skills in a dynamic, fast-paced, and results-oriented environment.

  • Support HR Operations and Systems with day-to-day tasks to ensure a smooth, standardized, and compliant end‑to‑end employee lifecycle from onboarding to offboarding
  • Work with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides) to organize data, track information, assist with data auditing, and create or update documentation and presentations
  • Bring forward innovative ideas, tools, or approaches that could improve HR processes, team efficiency, or employee experience, and support the team in exploring or implementing them
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by maintaining process documentation and supporting process optimization efforts
  • Collaborate effectively on team projects and work independently in fast-paced or deadline-driven environments, proactively prioritizing tasks and following through to completion
  • Communicate clearly, both written and verbal, and collaborate with colleagues across different levels of the organization
  • Education Requirement: Candidates must have completed their degree within 12 months of the start date
  • Comfortable working with data and learning new systems (e.g., HR systems such as SuccessFactors, with training)
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace, including Excel or Google Sheets, and Word/Docs and PowerPoint/Slides
  • Experience working both independently and on team projects, preferably in fast-paced or deadline-driven environments (academic, work, or extracurricular)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate with people at different levels of the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, think proactively, and follow through on commitments
  • Previous exposure to HR, people operations, or administrative work (internships, part-time jobs, campus roles, or volunteer work)
  • Experience in helping to keep processes or procedures organized
  • Familiarity with HR business systems
