Why we're hiring:

As part of our ongoing transformation, we are looking for a Finance Transformation Senior Analyst to join our Enterprise Technology (ET) Finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting and enhancing our financial operations during a period of significant change, helping to shape the future of finance within WPP.

Working closely with the ET Finance team, you will support the reset of our budgeting, forecasting and recharge processes, partnering with stakeholders across the ET function as well as finance teams throughout WPP’s networks and operating companies. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring the effective financial management of key technology initiatives across the organisation.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will be responsible for project delivery, financial analysis, modelling and reporting. This role offers a unique opportunity to make an immediate impact and contribute to a high-profile transformation programme at one of the world's leading creative companies.

What you'll be doing:

Finance Transformation & Project Delivery

Supporting major ET (Enterprise Technology) finance projects, including resetting how technology costs are budgeted, managed and re charged across WPP.
Working on initiatives related to cloud services, technology vendors and cost allocation models.
Coordinating with multiple stakeholders across Finance, Technology, Tax, Treasury, and Operations.
Gathering, cleansing and analysing large data sets to improve financial reporting and decision making
Building financial models to support budgeting, forecasting and investment decisions.

Financial Planning, Analysis & Modelling

Support the redesign and implementation of enhanced budgeting and forecasting processes.
Build financial models and scenario analyses to support investment decisions, cost optimisation, and long-term planning.
Deliver meaningful insights through financial analysis of performance, trends, risks, and opportunities.
Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure financial plans remain aligned to business objectives.
Support with month end process including journal preparation

Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

Build strong relationships across Finance, Technology, and the wider business, acting as a trusted partner throughout transformation programmes.
Prepare high-quality presentations and reports for senior leadership, communicating progress, risks, and recommendations.
Facilitate discussions and workshops to drive alignment, decision-making, and successful project outcomes.

Process Improvement & Change

Identify opportunities to streamline, standardise, and automate finance processes and controls.
Develop and implement best-practice processes and documentation to improve efficiency, governance, and scalability.
Stay informed on emerging finance transformation trends, tools, and technologies, bringing innovative ideas to enhance ways of working.

What you'll need :

Requirements

Fully Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, or CA.
Operating in Fast-Paced Environments – Proven ability to perform under pressure, particularly during transformation initiatives and year-end reporting cycles.
Technical Accounting Knowledge – Strong understanding of IFRS and financial reporting standards is desirable

Systems & Tools – Advanced Excel skills, with experience using ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
Data & Visualisation – Comfortable working with large, complex datasets and leveraging tools such as Power BI or Tableau to generate insights.
Financial Analysis & Modelling – Strong analytical capability, with experience building robust financial models and assumptions.

Project Delivery – Highly organised, with a track record of managing competing priorities and delivering to tight deadlines.
Stakeholder Engagement – Confident communicator, able to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable insights for a broad range of stakeholders.

Proactive & Collaborative – A self-motivated team player with a hands-on, delivery-focused approach and a willingness to embrace feedback.
Detail-Oriented – Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
