The Senior Finance Manager will oversee financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and compliance functions. This role partners closely with internal stakeholders and the outsourced finance team (WPP FinancePlus, Malaysia) to ensure accurate financial operations, timely, and support business decision-making and drive process improvements.

Manage month-end closing, group reporting, and statutory reporting
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and integrity of financial data
Maintain compliance with IFRS and internal financial policies (ICFR)
Interpret financial data and provide insights to management

Assist in annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
Monitor financial performance against budgets and provide variance analysis
Deliver actionable insights to support business decisions

Partner with senior management and cross-functional teams
Liaise with regional finance teams and outsourced finance partners
Act as a trusted finance advisor to the business
Build strong working relationships and act as a finance business partner

Lead internal and external audits
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
Oversee risk management and internal controls
Oversee compliance-related activities and reporting requirements

Supervise day-to-day finance operations
Provide guidance to finance team and outsourced partners
Drive accountability and performance within the team

Identify and implement process improvements and automation
Standardize financial processes and reporting frameworks
Support system enhancements and transformation initiatives
Maintain reporting frameworks aligned with group standards

Provide financial insights for commercial and operational decisions
Support M&A activities and strategic projects
Contribute to long-term financial planning and growth strategies
Support commercial/media teams with financial guidance

Understand WPP policies, reporting systems, and ICFR guidelines
Review and guide FinancePlus on reporting processes
Build relationships with key stakeholders

Deliver financial insights to management
Manage budgeting and forecasting cycles
Monitor performance and provide analytical insights
Lead audit and compliance processes

Act as trusted finance advisor to business teams
Drive process improvements and system enhancements
Lead M&A finance initiatives
Maintain group reporting standards and frameworks

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field
CPA / CA or equivalent professional certification preferred

5+ years in accounting, financial reporting, or similar roles
Experience managing a team
Background in audit or large MNCs is advantageous

Strong knowledge of IFRS and application
Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and processes
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Proactive, self-driven, and resourceful
Comfortable handling ambiguity and multiple priorities with tight timeline
Results-Oriented mindset with strong business acumen
High level of initiative, ownership and commitment
